It takes just one look at ancient Egyptian artwork to realize how serious they were about wall decor. The walls of royal tombs (and probably residences as well) were decorated with beautiful, artistic calligraphy, and a variety of fantastic, richly colored decor. Bright gold, deep black onyx and jet, red carnelian, and luxurious lapis-lazuli were used for just about everything, including fantastic wall decor. Although the Saharan sands of time have faded the colors on many of those ancient walls, modern day artists have kept those bright hues and Egyptian decorating styles alive with fantastic wall decor.
The Egyptian Temple Sculptural Wall Pediment shows the same ancient protection symbols that were used on the temples of the pharaohs for thousands of years. Like so many other Egyptian decorations, this three foot plus long pediment is painted with bright golden colors, and adds a regal touch to every home.
Egyptian wall friezes can also add an ancient royal touch to the rooms of any home. The Rameses I Between Horus and Anubis Wall Frieze is a wonderful, detailed and colorful replica of a frieze found in a royal burial chamber from the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Compliment it with the equally impressive Royal Nile Barge Sculptural Wall Frieze.
