Celebrate the Chinese New Year Right!

The Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is often inaccurately called "Lunar New Year", because—as part of the lunisolar Chinese calendar—the date is partially determined based on lunar phase. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends with Lantern Festival which is on the 15th day. Chinese New Year's Eve, a day where Chinese families gather for their annual reunion dinner, is known as chú xī (除夕). It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

This year, the Chinese New Year is February 3. To celebrate this oriental holiday, Design Toscano is having a special Chinese New Year Sale, tomorrow and Friday. For two days only, take advantage of %20 off all of our Asian items!
Ladies at their Stringed Instruments Porcelain Statue: Maiden with Pipa
The Ladies at their Stringed Instruments Porcelain Statue: Maiden with Pipa is the quintessential Asian piece!
The lilting beauty of Asian music is matched only by the artistry in the hand-cast, hand-painted porcelain sculptures of Chinese artist Lin Wei Dung. His soft colors and rich glazes, as well as the exquisite and delicate modeling of ancient instruments such as the Wei dynasty s pipa, make this porcelain statue highly collectible.

Decorate your home with our other Asian garden statuary, resin garden statues, and more on Design Toscano online!
