The fairy statue became popular garden statuary during the Victorian era. Before then, a lot of people didn't need to put statues of fairies in the backyard because they believed that the "little people" were real and frequented the garden on moonlit nights. On occasion, some people also left offerings in the garden to appease the fairies and gnomes that supposedly lived there.
In modern times, although we don't really believe that fairies actually live in the garden (at least most of us), we still like to pay homage to the legend with high quality fairy decor. By nature, most garden fairies are lovely, delightful creatures. Those attributes are shown by the majority of the fairies in our collection, including our beautiful Fiona, the Flower Fairy Sculpture. This life-like fairy sculpture has a peaceful smile and elegant features that lend a happy touch to any backyard.
Another, equally delightful fairy sculpture is Fannie, the Fairy Sitting Statue. Fannie's lovely little smile and half-closed eyes fit in perfectly with a lazy, warm summer garden. Don't forget to buy and save on the Woodland Fairy Garden House Statue to give Fannie, Fiona, and your other garden fairy statues a place to live.
