Let The Gnomes Run Loose Around Your Yard!

A garden gnome or lawn gnome is a figurine of a small humanoid creature, usually wearing a pointy hat, produced for the purpose of ornamentation, typically of gardens or on lawns.

These figurines originate in 19th century Germany, where they became known as Gartenzwerg (literally "garden dwarf"). The application of the term gnome in English is first attested in the 1930s.
Black Forest Welcoming Gnome Sculpture
The Black Forest Welcoming Gnome Sculpture is one of our favorite garden statues gnomes.

With ageless wit and whimsy as their calling card, who better to welcome guests than the forest gnomes who are currently “all the rage” in Northern Europe? In his yellow cap, our more than 1½-foot-tall wise old gent leans on his trusty trowel, with flowers and mushrooms at his feet. Imaginatively sculpted, then cast in quality designer resin and brightly hand-painted exclusively for Design Toscano, this leader of the forest is sure to give a hearty welcome in your home or garden.
